&lt;p&gt;“Are there even real jobs for that?”&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This is often how young people who are studying humanities get talked to by their relatives or friends. The humanities are seen as a waste of time, and are not seen as a viable means of making money in the future.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I think this view comes from a deeper misunderstanding of what education is actually for.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
