Aiming, Virtue, and Sin
Introduction I have previously written about what it is that moves us humans. Within philosophy, there are multiple answers to this question. In that earlier writing, I argued that the movements within man can broadly be divided into higher and lower ones. On the higher side, we find our capacity for sacrifice, truth, love, self-giving, and virtue. On the lower side, we find animalistic desires and the various vices which arise when our desires become disordered as a consequence of original sin.
